We have an extensive network within both the Australian iron ore mining industry and the Asian steel mill customer base which can be drawn on in providing consulting services for clients.  This includes a team of associates who are highly experienced specialists in the mining, metallurgical, processing, logistics and project fields. 

Comprehensive data base

We have also compiled a comprehensive data base of iron ore projects and producers, including resource, processing, capacity and product quality information.

State of the art Value in Use (VIU) modelling capabilities

We have state of the art Value in Use (VIU) modelling capabilities to simulate the performance of iron ores in steel mills and calculate theoretical pricing relative to standard industry indices and competitor products.

Diverse offering

While our primary focus area is iron ore, we also have technical and commercial background in other commodities, including titanium minerals/mineral sands, ferro alloys, direct reduced and hot briquetted iron (DRI/HBI) and iron and steel production.

Experienced leadership

Dr Allon Brent is the Principal of Global Minerals Marketing, having founded the consultancy after retiring as Iron Ore Marketing Manager from BHP Billiton in 2016.

Allon has over 30 years experience in the international minerals and metallurgical industries, having held senior management roles in Marketing, Technology/R&D, Business Development and Operations.

As Iron Ore Marketing Manager for BHP, Allon played a leading role in the development and implementation of marketing strategies for BHP’s US$25 billion Iron Ore growth projects between 2005 and 2016.

Allon has international experience in Africa, North and South America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
